Very warm welcome from the reservation to the arrival. The dormitory is decent, secure, clean, and pleasant. The showers are small but that's not a problem. The neighborhood is very nice, charming, close to Lake Geneva and several small parks! For the price, it’s great and definitely worth it, even for just one night.
A friendly, social, and affordable accommodation in the heart of the Old Town. A beautiful setting – passing by the stunning Saint Peter’s Cathedral every morning was a great mood booster. I rented a private room for a one-month internship at the UN (shared bathroom/showers). Most of the women I met were also doing internships at international organizations or attending summer schools/academies. Breakfast conversations were lively and interesting. I would recommend applying for long-term summer housing 2–3 months in advance to avoid disappointment, as HSP is popular among unpaid summer interns. The cathedral is quite noisy at night, so make sure to bring earplugs. During my stay, the building was under construction, but otherwise everything was great. I would gladly return and stay at HSP again!
A great family-style dorm with very friendly staff that offers a lot: excellent (and quiet!) location in the heart of the Old Town, its own rooftop terrace, clean rooms (weekly cleaning) and bathrooms (daily cleaning), breakfast from Monday to Saturday, a large kitchen, a lockable fridge compartment, and much more. Highly recommended!
A very good place and a true hostel (and bargain) for those on a tight budget, provided you book well in advance. Dormitories accommodate men (6 beds) and women (10 beds) separately (with separate showers and bathrooms). Single and double rooms for long-term stays are reserved for women (founded in 1874, the facility is owned by the German Lutheran Church of Geneva and the Protestant parish). The rooftop terrace is truly worth the effort to climb the stairs!
